READY FOR A ROAD TRIP!!

Tyler and I have never been to Oregon in our lives, even though its a neighboring state...so when a friend asked us if we wanted to join him in a road trip down the Oregon coast, we just couldn't pass it up! So my wonderful parents decided to watch Jack for a few days and we were off!!

Those who went were our friend Adam, Tim, me and Tyler. Although we altogether took about over 100+ photos, I am just putting up a couple places that we went to.
We drove all night on a friday, and arrived in Dalles about 3 am. When we woke up, the first thing we did was drive down to the Dalles waterfall!
Tyler, Tim and Adam on top of the bridge! It was so beautiful, so breathtaking...After a few hours there, we started heading for the coast. The long drive was well worth it, it was gorgeous to be there. We stopped several times looking at the beautiful cliffs, stopped in Astoria to sample some yummy seafood, and went on top of a lighthouse!

Us on top of the Astoria lighthouse!!
We drove some more, and stopped at a few coastlinesMe and my love at sunsetOcean sunset! We stopped at the Tillamook Cheese factory..just for me! Everyone know how much I loooove cheese!!Then we started driving our way down to Portland. Portland has alot to offer, the nightlife was really fun as well. We went to this interesting place called McMinnimins, which is a brewary/restaurant/hotel in an ELEMENTARY school, yes I said that correctly. They had remodeled an entire elem school to be a hotel, with original paintings in the hallways...every room had a different theme...it was definetly something different that I've never gone to! I wish i took more pictures, but I took this one of Tyler in the hallway!
The next day, we sightsee'd Portland, walked around downtown and didn't forget to grab our Starbucks!
Portland, we decided was full of 'nifty people' as my friend Adam described...we noticed there were alot of green-friendly environmentals, who drove subaru outbacks, loved to hang out in coffee shops, and wear scarves. Haha this may not be all of Portland, but thats what we def noticed.

Me and Tyler hanging 0ut with the statuesWe also noticed all the cool shopping places! And interesting places like Chinatown!
After that, we decided to drive towards Mount Hood to get a few shots before it got dark.
The mountain was gorgeous. We took a couple pictures behind the sunset, and was well worth the drive.
One more crazy night in Bend and the next day we were headed home...another 16 hour drive! All in all, Oregon was beautiful to see, and we will definitely head back with Jaxon asap!!
p.s. Can anybody tell me whats up with all the random shoe trees???
